Jack Ovens spent last season on loan with Queens University, making 37 appearances while Jake Willis was with Knockbreda for 2023/24 where he made 38 appearances

On the loan moves, Portadown manager Niall Currie commented

In relation to Joe McKay, we intended on keeping him with us initially for the season but it is clear to see his progress during the early weeks of pre-season and the opportunity came to give him first team experience which he has shown he is ready for.

It is important that with the support of the academy that we make decisions in the best interest of players, the club and the pathway to first team football.

We wish Joe, Jack and Jake every success in their loan moves and look forward to their return.
